I’m Karen Devane (née Graham), a watercolour artist based in beautiful Waterford, Ireland. I’m also a busy mum, so life is full – of noise, colour, and inspiration! My work is shaped by the natural world around me and the little moments of joy that come from observing animals, birds, and everyday countryside life.

My paintings often begin with a feeling or a flash of character – the sassy strut of a hen, the fluff of a winter robin – and I let the watercolour lead the way. I love how the medium surprises me, flowing freely and capturing movement, mood, and a sense of story in every brushstroke.
